Overview

So just what is sustainable faith? How do you press faithfully into your calling faithfully for thirty years rather than three? What exactly does it look like to have a deepening conversation with God at all levels of life? And how do we become “good news” to our neighbors without flaming out?

These are perennial questions for the church to answer, but the arrhythmic, God-eclipsing pulse of modern western life gives them a new urgency. We’d love to share with you what we’ve learned and establish an extended, meaningful dialog with you. The posts (prose and poetry) to this website are more like a front door; they’re off-the-cuff freebies that will, hopefully, stir up good things, but they’ll never outstrip flesh and blood encounters.

So, although we’re glad you’ve made it to our website, we’d be happier still if you made it into our home for meals, conversation, and relationship. Take advantage of:

• guided or unguided retreats
• spiritual friendship and mentoring
• spiritual direction
• school of spiritual direction

Our joy is to be with you and share what we have, which includes our convent, our church family and our neighborhood. Content. Space. Relationship. We hope that your time with us will be the equivalent of slow food in an age of fast religion.

Peace to you,
Dave Nixon
